​Membership Eligibility

Any woman is eligible for membership, who is no less than eighteen years of age and can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence. More information can be found on the Become a Member page.

How to get involved

We welcome all women with American Revolutionary War Patriot ancestry to join our chapter. Please contact the Peter Minuit Chapter, NSDAR, to learn more about meetings or how to join. In addition to monthly meetings, our chapter offers diverse activities, which are scheduled primarily on weeknights and weekends. Members' children, families, and guests are encouraged to join in these activities and get involved in our community.

Yes, the prospect of proving over 300 years of lineage can be daunting if you're starting from scratch, but WE ARE HERE TO HELP! Our chapter includes genealogists and historians, and we provide workshops throughout the year to assist with your research.
